Would You Kiss Me One More Time (Before You Leave Me – This song was written for his wife, which has everyone wondering because of the title. As the (true) story goes, Julie had won a recipe contest to be a guest at a luncheon at the Rainbow Room in New York to meet Paul Newman (along with several other contestants). Nicky had to work so Julie asked a friend to accompany her. As they were leaving the house for New York, Nicky said to Julie: “Would you kiss me one more time before you leave,” and he wrote the song soon after.
